From October 17 until Sunday 21, Valdestillas (Valladolid) will receive again the visit of Emperor Charles V. For Saturday 20th, from 18:30, the staging of the historical recreation of arrival of Charles V to Valdestillas. The delegation will take a tour that will start from the hermitage of Cristo del Amparo to the Plaza de la Constitución. Once there, we will proceed to the recreation and appointment of the Royal Innkeeper, honor that falls this year on David Muriel, development technician of the City of Medina del Campo and coordinator of the Renaissance Week, from the balcony of the consistory.
In addition to the aforementioned historical recreation, there are also other activities that are no less interesting, among which there is an exhibition of Renaissance costumes in the culture hall of the town hall of the town —from Friday 18, at 8:00 p.m.—, a historical camp of a 16th-century army in the Plaza de la Constitución —on Saturday, from 11 am to 2 pm It includes instruction of firearms, spades and recreation of the life of the 16th century—, an exhibition of birds of prey also in said location, children's attractions of the time in the Plaza Mayor, and a Renaissance market with traditional and artisan products; not forgetting that the church of Our Lady of the Miracle will remain open during the dates indicated from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Finally, mentioning other activities such as the launching of arrows by the Royal Guard of Archers of the Body from the balcony of the town hall, or a pyrotechnic show on the facade of the old schools must also be registered; and a coverage path.
