THE ROUTE OF EMPEROR CARLOS V PROMOTES ITS ROUTES IN BERLIN WITH THE REST OF CULTURAL ROUTES OF SPAIN
Description

The Network of Routes of Emperor Carlos V will be present from 6 to 10 March at the ITB Berlin fair, one of the most important professional fairs in the tourism sector and considered one of the three most important fairs in the world together with the World Travel Market of London and FITUR of Madrid, along with the rest of the Cultural Routes of Spain —Prehistoric Rock Art, Camino del Cid, Pasión and Vía de la Plata—.

In its own space located in the Turespaña pavilion, Cultural Routes of Spain will inform professionals and the general public about the tourist attractions of these itineraries whose thematic axes cover not only geography but also the history of Spain : Prehistoric Rock Art, the heart of Roman Hispania traveling the Vía de la Plata Route, the literary and historical traces of Cid Campeador in the Middle Ages, the Spanish routes of the Emperor Charles V in the Renaissance and the spiritual manifestations and popular traditions of Holy Week in the south of Spain.

The participation in this fair reflects the commitment of these five itineraries for its internationalization. In order to promote its commercialization outside our borders, more than a dozen professional meetings are planned with the main European operators specialized not only in cultural tourism, but also in bicycle tourism and motorcycling. The five itineraries that make up Cultural Routes of Spain bet on their positioning in this market.

Cultural Routes of Spain is a proposal covered by Turespaña that brings together the offer of these five great routes that form the backbone of a large part of the national cultural heritage. The itineraries that host these five routes pass through eleven of the seventeen autonomous communities of Spain: Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Murcia and the Basque Country.
