The next 4th of May we'll deliver the network's collaborator badge to the Interpretation Center of Charles V de Laredo (Cantabria), whose role is essential in the recreation that the Emperor Charles V's disembarkation takes place year after year in said locality.
This association, which has been collaborating since year 2000 with the recreation of the last landing of the Emperor Charles V in Laredo, was established as an association in 2009 with the intention of recovering the traditions of the time, and also to keep alive the memory of the Laredo the time of the Emperor's landing.
This association is dedicated, among other activities, to research and to recover everything related to the traditions of the emperor's time. "To dive in books and libraries, along with means of consultation and support, to relate the figure of Charles V with Laredo, because that its port was one of the most important in the north of Spain at that time. We wanted to not only stay at a party, but also to investigate in that cultural part and disseminate it to all the public, especially the children -which we encourage in the visits that they make us with games, cut out of the costumes of the time, a puzzle with the family tree of the family ... - explains Marian Riñones Cañizo, president of the El Palenque Association.
