RTVE, through its channel La 2, will premiere next Saturday, February 2nd, at 7:15 p.m., the documentary series The paths of the emperor, which includes the participation of this network of routes.
This coproduction directed by Juan Frutos, director with extensive experience in this type of international productions that combine history and entertainment, is divided into five chapters that review the life of the Emperor Carlos V. The production began to take shape in November 2016 with the filming of the first scenes in Laredo (Cantabria), and concluded there in the summer of 2018 in Venice (Italy). Close to 50 cities and also twenty countries (Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Peru, Colombia, Italy or Austria) to give shape to a visual synthesis exercise of the course of the life of Carlos V.
The paths of the emperor is conceived as a travel notebook of cities and historical recreations that allows to know those places through which he passed, or left an imprint on his life. It should be noted that this series stands out for its historical content, which is valued by the 50 fictional scenes shot starring a prominent cast of the Spanish stage, among which the actors Mario Zorrilla stand out -—on paper of Charles V—, Juan Gea, Alberto Amarilla, Ramón Langa, Antonio Salazar, Cayetana Cabezas, Primitivo Rojas and Salvador Campoy, among others.
A project that has had the participation of this Network of Cooperation of the Routes of Emperor Carlos, of Orange Productions and, also, of Canal Extremadura. The final result will be able to be visualized every Saturday, in the 2 of TVE, from of the next February 2nd at 7:15 p.m.
